Being a teenager nowadays comes with a lot of responsibilities, saving for their first car, school events, extracurricular activities, and more. One of the many decisions they may face is opening their own account and that’s where we come in.
Our Gen-You Savings and Checking accounts really are one of a kind. It was created to give teenagers between the ages of 14-17 the ability to establish good money habits without a parent or legal guardian. But don’t worry parents, this account gives them freedom, but we give you reassurance.
This account has features we all love.

What is required?
The teenager must live, work, worship or go to school in Miami-Dade County. They must be between the ages of 14-17 and provide us with two forms of IDs, either a FL State ID or Florida State Drivers License and a secondary ID.
How do I open a Gen-You Account?
You can open the account online! Just upload the required documents and a representative will get back to you within a couple days.
What happens after the teenager turns 18?
The Gen-You Account will be upgraded to a regular membership account.
How is the Gen-You Account safe for teenagers?
We have restrictions on the account that will help to avoid fees, experiencing overdrafts and check fraud.
To qualify for a Gen-You Account, student must live, work, worship or attend school in Miami-Dade County. To open the account the student must provide a valid FL State ID or State Driver’s License and secondary ID. If the student does not have a FLID or FLDL, a US Passport can be accepted as Primary ID. Student must provide documentation from School District (Schedule of Courses or Report Card) to confirm student’s physical address, when using US Passport as primary ID. Secondary ID's include a valid student ID, Birth Certificate, US Passport (IF FLDL/FLID is Primary) or Social Security Card. All Credit Union loan programs, rates, terms and conditions are subject to change, discontinue or cancel at any time without notice.

BabySteps Youth Account
It’s never too early to start saving for your child’s future. Our Youth Account is a great way to get your little one started with their very own financial building blocks. Whether you’re saving for college or their first car, every little bit counts and by starting early every little bit really adds up. As a bonus we created "BabySteps", a program designed for parents who open a youth account for a child under 3 years old are eligible to receive a *FREE Miami-Dade County Stroller Parking Permit.

*This program is designed for children who are 2 years and 11 months old or younger. Child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card required to open account. A parent or legal guardian must be added to the account as a per account. Account must be opened with $25 plus $1 membership fee. Parent or legal guardian may purchase an additional permit for $35.
